Veteran but as good as ever when winning his first 2 starts last season, latterly when edging a tight finish in the Becher at Aintree. Well beaten in the National back there 6 weeks ago and this understandably rates considerably less demanding. Possibilities.
No impact in 2 outings before Christmas and only fifth in the Freebooter at Aintree 6 weeks ago, a race which he'd won in the previous 2 seasons. Headgear now applied back down in class and he's well handicapped on best form.
Useful but inconsistent chaser for Gordon Elliott who made a better fist of things than on yard debut (had undergone a breathing operation) when second at Fakenham (3m) 3 weeks ago. Wouldn't be certain to back that up, however.
Has paid his way over fences for various yards and returned to form under today's rider (now 2-2) when scoring in good style at Newton Abbot (21f) 17 days ago. No reason why she won't give another good account from 6 lb higher mark.
Scored over fences at Plumpton and Doncaster before Christmas and posted a good third of 5 back hurdling at former course (21f) 30 days ago. No forlorn hope for all this represents a rise in class.
Four-time scorer over fences during his time with Henry Daly. Low key start for new stable at Huntingdon in March but in process of running better (likely to have finished third) prior to falling 2 out at Ludlow (3m) later that month, Still, others more persuasive.
Formerly very useful hurdler/chaser. Mixed bag for current yard but comes here having performed well when fifth in a class 2 hurdle at Haydock at the beginning of the month. Well handicapped back over fences provided he keeps the errors at bay.

Forecasts
Somespring Special (7/4), Walking On Air (11/4), Cruz Control (4/1), Twig (6/1), Alien Storm (17/2), Mars Harper (16/1), Lounge Lizard (50/1)
CRUZ CONTROL will find this easier than the Aintree race he was attempting to land for the third successive season 6 weeks ago and shades preference over 8-y-o mare Somespring Special, who scored convincingly at Newton Abbot last time. Twig is another taking a big drop in class so can also feature.
