7-y-o who looked back in the sort of form which saw him placed in a Grade 1 hurdle when off the mark at third attempt over fences at Kilbeggan (2¾m) 3 weeks ago, hard held. Firmly expected to hold his own back in this more competitive scenario.

Bumper winner who made it sixth time lucky over hurdles starting out for present yard at Punchestown in October. Had testing ground as an excuse at Navan/Thurles thereafter but this looks a tough enough chase introduction back from 5 months off.

Has just a maiden hurdle win to his name (albeit beat a smart one) and posted easily his best effort since when second in a Grade 3 in February. Flying too high in Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham next time but this former point winner remains a good prospect now tackling larger obstacles.

Went off the boil following a brace of hurdle wins here last summer and she's hard t warm to on these terms back over fences.

Didn't kick on as expected over hurdles but better signs on stable debut at Aintree in April and he built on that when making a successful C&D chase debut 9 days ago. Did that well and he ought to go on in this sphere in receipt of his handy weight-for age allowance.

Forecasts

Workahead (11/8), Supersundae (7/4), Wild Bill Hickok (11/4), Ma Jacks Hill (12/1), Reiki Revolution (14/1), Chosen Shant (150/1)

Verdict

WORKAHEAD found the Champion Hurdle too hot to handle back in March but very much appeals as the type to make a significant impact as a chaser (winner only start in points) and he's selected to make it first time lucky in this sphere. Supersundae was dominant when scoring over fences at Kilbeggan recently and is feared, as is another last-time-out winner, Wild Bill Hickok.
