475,000 gns son of Sea The Stars. Ran to a fair level on both starts last year. Well held in 1¼m Doncaster maiden on reappearance but retains potential now handicapping for a good stable.

Improved with cheekpieces added (retained) when making her second handicap start a winning one at Kempton (1½m) 16 days ago. Very much had the run of that race from the front but still appeals as one who can progress again.

Didn't show much in trio of novice events at up to 1m last year but took a step forward when fourth of 9 on 1¼m Yarmouth handicap debut (good to firm) 25 days ago. Will stay 1½m and likely to improve again.

Three qualifying runs at up to 9.5f on all-weather at the end of 2025. Steps up in trip for handicap debut after 5 months off. The betting is perhaps the best guide to expectations.

Modest form shown in 3 runs in Ireland for Kevin Coleman and well-held fifth on 11f Southwell handicap and yard debut 17 days ago. Improvement will be needed.

BLACKISTHENEWBLACK should have more to offer on the back of her Kempton success and can defy a 6 lb rise for Andrew Balding. Boilermaker shaped quite encouragingly on his Yarmouth handicap debut and can build on that and provide the main threat ahead of the William Haggas-trained Caraway.
