2/9

Made up into a very smart performer in 2025, responding well to cheekpieces in second half of the year, finding plenty when completing hat-trick in St Leger at Doncaster. Picked up where he left off when winning listed race at Navan on return and winning run very unlikely to be ended here.

5/1

Impressive winner of the Irish Leger trial at the Curragh in August. Tailed-off in the race itself a month later but shaped as if back in form when 2¾ lengths fourth to Scandinavia in listed race at Navan on return.

Form: 14419-4

Dallas Star²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 9-5| J: Donagh O'Connor| T: Robson Aguiar| OR: 103| C

12/1

Useful on balance and ran as well as could have been expected when 1½ lengths second to the returning Scandinavia in listed race at Navan 3 weeks ago. Remains vulnerable for win purposes at this level.

Form: 28-2332

(3)

Happy Pharoah^t⁴²

Age: 4| Weight: 9-5| J: Paddy Harnett| T: Donnacha O'Brien| OR: 104| C

18/1

A 3-time winner in 2025, taking his form to another level when narrow winner of a Premier Handicap here (13f) in September. Possibly unsuited by testing conditions next 2 starts, including on return.

Form: 11210-7

(6)

Le Destrier⁶⁹¹

Age: 7| Weight: 9-5| J: Billy Lee| T: W P Mullins| OR: 106

33/1

Showed useful form in Germany/France for different yards. Starts out for a top stable but probably best watched in this company.

Form: 874512/

(2)

Mont St Michel^b²²

Age: 5| Weight: 9-5| J: J M Sheridan| T: D Hogan| OR: 92

300/1

Useful winner for Aidan O'Brien but has offered little for this yard, including over hurdles.

Form: 23190-0

Forecasts

Scandinavia (2/9), Leinster (5/1), Dallas Star (12/1), Happy Pharoah (18/1), Le Destrier (33/1), Mont St Michel (300/1)

Impossible to oppose SCANDINAVIA, who was one of the most progressive horses in training last year and is set to compete for this season's top prizes after comfortably beating a couple of these at Navan on return.
