Gambled on and left previous hurdles efforts behind when lengths second on 2½m Sedgefield handicap debut last month. Backed that up with a sound third of 5 at Taunton (3m) and he's respected sent chasing (has pointing background).

Strong-travelling sort scored on second chase outing at Market Rasen (19f) in October and had the race at his mercy when falling here next time. Would've doubled his tally over fences if not for unseating after the last back at Market Rasen (17f) last month but sets the standard if jumping holds up.

Dual juvenile hurdle winner FOR Adrian Keatley. Dropped a long way in the weights for this yard prior to landing a 12-runner handicap hurdle at Ffos Las (2m) last week. Visor worn there is retained and he's potentially interesting having a third start over fences (has Flat pedigree) from same mark.
|
Front-runner was underwhelming over hurdles last season but back on track sent chasing when second at Wincanton in April. Clearly not himself under a change of tactics at Hereford last week, though, so bit to prove now.
|
Finally opened his account over hurdles at Fakenham in June and has finished runner-up on 5 consecutive occasions in the autumn, 4 of those coming over fences. Has had plenty of chances from this kind of mark, though he may benefit from the breathing operation he's had since last seen in November.

Veteran is without a win since 2019 but arrives in decent heart, weakening only late on having done plenty in front and made a bad blunder 5 out when third of 6 in handicap chase at Hereford (2m, good to soft, 4/1) 50 days ago. Others still preferred for win purposes.
|
Couple of fair efforts on his hurdling CV but little to shout about in 4 starts over fences last season.
|
Won over 19.5f here last April but has failed to complete on 5 of her 6 starts since, so hard to have much faith in at present.

Forecasts
Saint Polo (7/2), Holy Legend (4/1), Gone In Sixty (4/1), Model Approach (9/2), Grain Trade (11/2), Daany (17/2), Ballywood (16/1), Millies Mite (28/1)
GRAIN TRADE still looks on a competitive mark despite being raised 4 lb for his final-fence departure at Market Rasen last time and he looks the one to beat provided he jumps cleanly enough here. Model Approach was right back to form when winning over hurdles last time and is interesting quickly switched back to fences. Chase newcomer Saint Polo completes the 1-2-3.
