13/2

Maiden hurdler/chaser who came in last of 4 in handicap chase at Plumpton (3¼m) 31 days ago. Needs to take a step forward if he's to get off the mark at the ninth attempt.

Form: 72/3744-

Land Girl's Luck^p²⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 12-0| J: Freddie Mitchell⁽³⁾| T: M Comley| OR: 97

4/1

A 3-time winner over hurdles who (refitted with cheekpieces) made an encouraging start in this sphere when fourth of 10 in 19f handicap at Exeter 29 days ago. Can take a step forward back up in trip.

Form: 723234-

Friends Don't Ask^p¹⁸³

Age: 11| Weight: 11-6| J: Tom Cannon| T: C Ellam| OR: 89| CD

80/1

C&D scorer but winless since 2021 and he was pulled up in handicap chases at Uttoxeter and Warwick on his only two runs in 2025. Lots to prove after 6 months off.

Form: 657D/PP-

Drumheller⁴¹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-2| J: Tabitha Worsley| T: N J Gifford| OR: 85

20/1

In good nick without winning over hurdles before Christmas but pulled up in handicap at Warwick (2½m) on his chasing debut 41 days ago, going with little fluency.

Form: P3/623P-

Boys Of Wexford^v²⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 11-0| J: James Davies| T: Henry Oliver| OR: 83| C

8/1

Unreliable type but he was revived (in headgear change) when landing 7-runner handicap chase at Taunton (23f) 27 days ago. This course winner needs to back it up off a 6 lb higher mark.

Form: 52UP41-

Tractor Jack^t³²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Jack Tudor| T: J Tizzard| OR: 83

18/1

Poor maiden hurdler who came in last of 6 in handicap at Newton Abbot (21f) on his debut over fences 32 days ago. Goes up in trip.

Form: 05/7P96-

Gata Ban^p²⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 10-13| J: Dylan Johnston| T: N P Mulholland| OR: 82

4/1

A fair winning hurdler. Hasn't gone on from a promising chasing debut second at Fakenham in October but not totally disgraced when fourth of 7 to Boys of Wexford in handicap chase at Taunton (23f) 27 days ago, headway when hampered 4 out. Not out of things off a handy-looking mark.

Form: 266634-

Valirann Gold^t¹⁵

Age: 9| Weight: 10-13| J: Ben Godfrey| T: H Brown| OR: 82| C

9/2

Dual course winner (latest in March) and he comes here on the back of a good second of 9 in handicap chase at Ffos Las (3m) 15 days ago, sticking to his task well. A likely player off an unchanged mark.

Form: P34142-

Frankie Faulkner^p,t1⁶⁶

Age: 9| Weight: 10-8| J: Conor Ring| T: Mrs C Williams| OR: 77

11/1

In decent nick without winning over fences this winter but he came in last of 7 reverted to hurdles at Ffos Las (3m) in March. Tongue tie added and cheekpieces also refitted now.

Form: P8/2237-

Stadmallen¹⁵

Age: 10| Weight: 10-2| J: James Best| T: Mrs J Williams| OR: 69

10/1

Winning pointer but little form back under Rules. Fell tenth for new yard in handicap chase at Ffos Las (3m) 15 days ago. Needs to take a big step forward.

Form: 16853/F-

Forecasts

Gata Ban (4/1), Land Girl's Luck (4/1), Valirann Gold (9/2), Ballyfinn (13/2), Boys Of Wexford (8/1), Anytrixwilldo (9/1), Stadmallen (10/1), Frankie Faulkner (11/1), Tractor Jack (18/1), Drumheller (20/1), Friends Don't Ask (80/1)

A few with chances but VALIRANN GOLD goes well round here and is taken to bag a third course victory on the back of a plucky Ffos Las second last time out. Land Girl's Luck rates a big threat if, as expected, building on an encouraging chasing debut fourth at Exeter, while Gata Ban is weighted to go well if on her A-game here.
