Won twice for this yard last year before finishing down the field in only 2 starts for Ian McInnes. Possibly needed the run after 5 months off having rejoined Carr when mid-field at Thirsk last time but others perhaps hold more pressing claims.
Came closer than ever to breaking his duck when beaten a short head at Wolverhampton in February. Underwhelming since, though, a stable switch failing to spark a revival when down the field at Thirsk (7f) last time. Visor back on.
Notched back-to-back wins in Newcastle classified events (both 6f) 9 days apart in February and gained a third C&D win of the season there in an 11-runner handicap last week. As effective on turf and should go close to following up, given he escaped a penalty for latest success.
Won at Redcar (7f) in July wearing first-time visor but ended 2025 with 2 dismal performances, so bit to prove now returning from 7 months off.
Headstrong sort looked typically quirky when winning a classified stakes at Wolverhampton (6f) at the start of March and backed that up with a creditable third in a similar race at Newcastle (5f) 4 days later. Has won at 7f but step back up in trip not an obvious positive given keen-going nature.
Won at Catterick last summer before finishing runner-up over C&D later in season. Below-par last 2 efforts in 2025 and wasn't given too much of a hard time on return from 5-month break at Redcar last week (had breathing operation during absence), so possible she'll fare better here.
Showed nothing on his first 4 starts for current connections but was the subject of a notable gamble (5/1 from 50/1) and duly proved a different proposition when second in a 7f classified event at Southwell last month. Considered if in same form this time.
Opened account at Redcar (6f) in June and posted a couple of good seconds after. Shaped as if needing the run after 6-month break when ninth of 12 in handicap at Catterick (5f, good to firm, 20/1) 21 days ago but is unproven over this far,
Forty-one runs since last win in 2023. Finished 5½ lengths sixth of 11 to The Gay Blade in handicap (40/1) at Newcastle (6f) 9 days ago and it's hard to see how he can turn the tables.
Ex-Irish mare remains a maiden but shaped with some encouragement when a staying-on fourth in a Wolverhampton classified event (6f) last month. Failed to build on that when ninth of 11 behind The Gay Blade in a Newcastle handicap last week. Tongue strap back on along with first-time cheekpieces.
No sign of ability in a Catterick novice and Newcastle maidens in the autumn but worth market check given his yard making handicap debut in first-time hood.

Filey Beach (6/4), War Memorial (10/3), The Gay Blade (9/2), Without Delay (17/2), Classy Clarets (12/1), Invincible Melody (16/1), Due Respect (18/1), Baby Rover (25/1), Gimmieminnie (25/1), Ridgemaster (25/1), Approaching Dawn (28/1), Bernie The Bear (40/1)
THE GAY BLADE is unpenalised for his smooth success at Newcastle last week and he's fancied to follow up, War Memorial ran much better having been the subject of a gamble at Southwell on his latest start and will pose the biggest threat if in the same form here.

- Classy Clarets12/1
