Quirky sort but he won at C&D in October prior to finishing runner-up in another C&D event and at Wolverhampton. Seemed to resent the refitting of headgear at Newcastle last time and others possess more solid profiles after 134 days off.

Shed maiden tag in 6f Newcastle handicap on New Year's Day and arrives on the back of 3 good placed efforts there, doing some good late work after lacking room on the rail over 7f there last month. Remains of interest despite being kept to higher grade than necessary.
