Very useful handicapper ran up to his best when third in a valuable handicap at Aintree last time. He's fresher than most for this time of the year and should go well again.
Veteran finds himself back on the same mark as when successful on reappearance at Uttoxeter, though there's been little encouragement in either start since, pulled up in the BetMGM Cup at the Cheltenham Festival latest.
Useful mare who won a valuable handicap at Windsor on New Year's Day. Showed her Ascot running hadn't done her justice when third in a mares listed race at Kelso (3m) last time, and she should give another good account, on a notable day for her trainer.
Much-improved performer for new yard earlier in the season but his progress has seemingly levelled off, for all he'll find this a more suitable test than the Morebattle at Kelso (2m). Tongue strap goes on for the first time following a breathing operation.
Consistent sort has placed on both previous starts here, latterly in a novice handicap at this meeting 12 months ago, and he arrives on the back of another solid effort when fourth in the Sussex Champion Hurdle at Plumpton.
Progressive on the Flat after winning a bumper for Ralph Beckett, and he readily outpointed a subsequent winner when opening his hurdles account at Ascot last time. Still unexposed at this sort of trip and his mark looks a lenient one.
Yet to recapture the useful form he showed for Nicky Henderson, though there have been signs of encouragement since joining capable new yard, shaping as though he'll relish this step back up in trip when sixth (wore first-time visor) in a useful handicap at Aintree last time.
Fairly useful stayer on the Flat who notched his second handicap hurdle success at this track in December and has only enhanced his reputation in defeat, finishing a close second to an improving sort at Haydock last time. Longer trip/less testing ground are both positives and a big run is expected.
Backed up the third Ludlow success of his career when runner-up at Ascot last time, though now pitched into a much stronger race, and doesn't look the yard's leading hope.
Likeable 6-time winner came from further back than the 3 that beat her at Chepstow on latest start, though she's probably vulnerable back up in grade, even with Sean Bowen taking over.

ACROSS EARTH has enjoyed a fine season, and with plenty in his favour, he's fancied to make it 2-2 at this track. Gnomon may have been let-in lightly by the handicapper, though, while Favour And Fortune looked as good as ever when third at Aintree and again has conditions to suit. No Ordinary Joe is another to consider off his falling mark, in a wide-open renewal.
