Below form in recent starts but has dropped to a handy mark and tends to save his best for this time of year, Not discounted.

Posted career best when winning 5-runner handicap chase over similar trip at Wincanton 23 days ago and is only 4 lb higher here. Big player.
Made winning return from 13-month absence at Southwell in December and back to that sort of form when creditable third of 8 in handicap chase at Kempton (3m, good) 41 days ago. Respected.
Signed off his 2023/24 campaign with back-to-back handicap chase wins (around 3m) at Huntingdon and Taunton. Not been in quite same form in a trio of starts since returning from long absence, however, and was held behind Broomfields Cave at Wincanton latest.
Returned to best form, on second start after long absence, when winning 10-runner handicap chase at Uttoxeter (3m, soft) 27 days ago, holding on gamely. Remains feasibly treated and is not taken lightly.
At the veteran stage now and done most of his winning at Ffos Las in recent years. Got no further than second on return here last month and makes limited appeal.

Forecasts
Inflexible (15/8), Loup De Maulde (11/4), Broomfields Cave (11/4), Charles Ritz (7/1), Manothepeople (9/1), Amateur (33/1)
BROOMFIELDS CAVE added to his tally over fences at Wincanton earlier this month and remains on a workable mark. He gets the nod. Uttoxeter scorer Inflexible is feared most.
