Didn't offer much in a pair of bumpers 10 weeks apart, tailed off at Haydock on latest outing in March. Looks one for the longer term as he starts off over hurdles.
Couldn't justify favouritism but shaped encouragingly on debut when runner-up in a bumper at Bangor last spring. Well held both subsequent outings in that sphere, before failing to get home over 2½m (should stay) in maiden at Sedgefield on hurdles bow 22 days ago.
Irish point winner who came from off the pace to win a Ludlow bumper a year ago. Little promise on first 2 starts in maiden hurdles, but in first-time tongue strap upped in trip he fared better when third of 10 at Bangor (2½m) last month.
From a very good jumping family and shaped promisingly on his belated debut when runner-up in 6-runner novice at Aintree in November. Below that level in 2 maidens since, but it still remains early days for him.
Runner-up in an Irish point and, having been well backed, offered encouragement when fourth of 12 in a Fontwell novice on hurdles bow. Pulled up over this C&D next time, but got back on track when fifth of 8 at Newbury (21f) last month, form boosted since. Major player.
Useful at best on the Flat, though not straightforward. Much improved from hurdling debut when runner-up in 2m novice at Uttoxeter last summer, but ended 2025 with a couple of lesser efforts on the level. Could yet do better in this sphere on first start run leaving Michael Keady.
Made appeal on paper, but in a tongue strap (having already undergone a breathing operation) he finished down the field in a Fontwell bumper on Boxing Day. Fared no better sent hurdling when tailed off at the same course 15 days ago. Cheekpieces added.
Not much promise in 2 bumpers under Rules but stepped forward from his hurdling debut effort when second in 12-runner maiden at Fontwell 15 days ago, beaten only by the odds on favourite. Enters calculations.
£155,000 Irish point recruit who has shaped better than the result both starts in maiden hurdles, trying to match strides with the winner up in trip when fifth of 7 at Chepstow (3m) last month. Has had a breathing operation since with cheekpieces now added.
Favourite when third in an Irish point, but sent off at big odds in a novice/maiden hurdle and pulled up on both occasions. Has plenty to prove up in distance after 5 months off.

Forecasts
Mr Finch (11/8), Testing Patience (7/2), Lightfingered Jack (5/1), Scottish Anthem (13/2), Jorah D'alma (7/1), Vanderflier (11/1), Hay Max (50/1), Style De Folie (125/1), Fullythermal (200/1), Virtuose D'ainay (250/1)
MR FINCH left behind a lesser effort when fifth of 8 in an interesting-looking novice at Newbury last month and he can build on that to open his account. He gets the vote ahead of Scottish Anthem, who could still have more to offer in this sphere as he starts out for Stuart Edmunds, with Testing Patience also in the mix.

- Scottish Anthem13/2
