Changed for £205,000 after winning sole start in Irish points last spring. Did the job well when following up in decent Ascot maiden (21.7f, good to soft) on hurdles debut in December and he appeals as the type to go on to better things.
Successful pointer who got Rules career off to impressive start when ready winner of 9-runner Uttoxeter novice (2½m, soft) in October, justifying support in the process. However, fell next time and jumping was again errant back from a break/breathing operation at Kempton last month.
Highly progressive sort who easily bagged 11-runner Ayr maiden hurdle (20.4f, soft) at the start of the year. Miles clear of the rest when runner-up in a Taunton novice next time and he remains open to improvement.
Winner of a bumper on Rules debut and opened hurdles account at the second attempt in a Doncaster maiden (19.4f, soft) in January, jumping well and leading from pillar to post. Understandably found a Grade 3 Sandown handicap too competitive last time and definite each-way chance at this level.
Solid bumper form and off the mark at the fourth attempt in this sphere when landing a 9-runner C&D maiden (heavy) last time. This is tougher but he should make his presence felt nonetheless.
Point/bumper winner who was runner-up in novice events (both at around 23f) at Uttoxeter and Worcester on first 2 starts over hurdles. However, shaped as though amiss when a well-backed favourite on handicap debut at Exeter in November and has been absent since.
Determined winner at Aintree on second of his 3 starts in bumpers but 15-month absence is an obvious concern ahead of this hurdles debut.
Nibbled at in the betting and made an encouraging start to his career last month at Uttoxeter where he stayed on to take third from a less-than-ideal position in a 2½m novice hurdle. Open to improvement.
Irish point winner who didn't shape badly on his Rules debut in a Chepstow maiden hurdle earlier this month but Cedar Creek is presumably the stable first-string.
Not badly bred but, judged on what his performances in a bumper/maiden hurdle, he's probably more of a long-term project.
Winner of the first of her 2 starts between the flags but sent off at 100/1 and suffered a heavy defeat on Rules debut in a C&D maiden hurdle 9 days ago.
Fairly useful winner at 1½m on the Flat for Ollie Sangster but he was well held on sole completed start in this sphere at Fontwell in October.

Forecasts
Crystal Island (1/1), Kings Champion (16/5), Home Made Hero (7/2), Rathkenny (7/1), Uptown Dandy (11/1), Fairye Forth (33/1), Dylans Moon (33/1), Axel Bleue (50/1), Cedar Creek (66/1), Malinaero (200/1), Pappariche (300/1), Yellow Card (300/1)
Several decent types on show here, headed by CRYSTAL ISLAND who looked a pretty useful prospect when scoring on his hurdles debut at Ascot. He is taken to get the better of another promising novice in Kings Champion, while Dylans Moon is interesting on the back of an encouraging debut at Uttoxeter and Rathkenny makes some each-way appeal.
- Kings Champion16/5
- Dylans Moon33/1
