Improved third in 2½m Hereford maiden last time and further step up in trip/switch to handicaps may prove beneficial, but some of the others boast stronger credentials all the same.
Shaped well in a couple of Irish maiden hurdles last season before failing to get competitive in handicaps at Naas and Fairyhouse. Resumes for new yard following a 12-month absence but worth a second look in the betting all the same. Tongue strap enlisted.
Some encouragement in a bumper and bettered previous efforts in this sphere when third of 10 on his second run in handicap company at Chepstow (19.4f, good). 1 lb lower now and should be on the premises with this step up in trip a potentially good move.
Point/bumper winner who improved for the switch to handicaps in this sphere when runner-up twice over 2½m at Leicester on soft/heavy at the end of 2025. Not so good last 2 starts but she's not discounted all the same.
Second on sole start in Irish points last spring and stepped up on maiden/novice exploits when third of 11 pitched into a handicap a Southwell in February. However, seemingly ran out of petrol upped to this trip at Bangor next time, so it's a tad surprising that he isn't dropping back in distance.
Lightly-raced 6-y-o who was placed in back-to-back Worcester maidens before finishing well held off a very harsh opening mark at Chepstow in October. Again beaten a country mile back from a break at Stratford and it's easy enough to look elsewhere. Cheekpieces applied.
Down the field in 2 bumpers and while he showed ability when fourth of 11 in 2m Ludlow novice in February, his subsequent display at Bangor represented a step in the wrong direction.
In fine form during the autumn, scoring at Worcester and Perth. However, form has taken a turn for the worse since and he trailed in last of 12 on return from a break at Wincanton.
Irish import who has proved a different proposition equipped with a tongue strap for this yard, completing a handicap chase hat-trick at Lingfield in December. Switches to hurdles here having taken a heavy fall at Exeter last month and sports first-time cheekpieces.
Opened his account in a Chepstow handicap (23.6f, good) recently, benefiting from what was a strongly-run race. Not an obvious type to follow up but, that said, a 6 lb rise is fair enough and he could have a say granted suitable conditions (ideally wouldn't want soft/heavy ground).
Little show in bumpers or over hurdles so far and hopes now pinned on the combination of this step up in trip and the addition of cheekpieces working the oracle.
No promise first 3 starts over hurdles but it was no great surprise to see this 5-y-o take a step forward when runner-up on handicap debut upped to 2¾m at Stratford (soft). One to consider.

Forecasts
Kastellion (7/2), Hidden Target (4/1), Dessie Haze (9/2), Golden Prince (5/1), Washington Parks (7/1), Eaststone Buck's (15/2), Smile Back (17/2), Air Apparent (17/2), Getaway King (12/1), Stiletto (22/1), Fanny Moon (28/1), Glenmuick (28/1), Moon Over Clyro (28/1)
HIDDEN TARGET promises to be suited by this stiffer test on the back of an encouraging third at Chepstow and he shades preference ahead of Dessie Haze, who got his head in front for the first time at that Welsh track earlier this month and will be a big threat if in a similar mood here. Eaststone Buck's is also shortlisted, along with Kastellion.
