Horse A-Z
Low-grade hurdler who has offered little both starts on the level and this surely an insufficient test of stamina.

Ran as well as could be expected in a valuable sales race at the Curragh and good fifth of 14 in another sales event at York (7f) in October. That form puts him right in the mix on return to action (has been gelded).

Cheap purchase who is related to several winners and he offered something to work on when fifth in a 1m Newcastle novice in February. Still looked green when fourth over the same C&D a month later.

£500,000 buy who took a step forward when runner-up to useful sort in a novice at Redcar in September. Pulled hard and did too much too soon when occupying same spot at Newcastle on return a month ago. Has a bigger effort in him.

Forecasts

Weffaag (10/11), Advance Twentyfive (10/3), Inishbeg (4/1), Blue Boy Junior (6/1), Zarvali (8/1), Forest Phoenix (33/1), Dream Odyssey (50/1), Deep Sleep (50/1), Fozzie (66/1), Talking In Kode (80/1), Simba's Pride (100/1), Saxon Gem (100/1), Haltonwood (125/1), Pop The Question (150/1), Act Of Honor (150/1), Clova Royale (250/1)

Verdict

INISHBEG was unable to justify favouritism on his return to action but on looks and pedigree, there should be more to come this year. He can get it right this time, probably at the chief expense of Advance Twentyfive unless Weffaag takes a big step forward.
