Won twice on all-weather for current connections in 2025, when also third in the Northumberland Plate. Struggling for form a touch at the moment but drops in grade back on turf and could make his presence felt.

Missed 4 years after finishing a fine fifth in the 2021 Cesarewitch but shaped as if retaining a good chunk of his ability on belated return at Ayr in September. Off again since and suspect he'll be better for this.

Useful handicapper who hasn't had much racing since his successful debut, making just his second start since last summer when not beaten far at Kempton (2m) 3 weeks ago, still working his way back to his best. Set to go well.

Enjoyed a productive campaign in 2025, winning 7 times, including a 3-runner C&D handicap. Form mixed more recently but can't be dismissed.

On a going day when fifth in competitive handicap at Galway Festival on stable debut last summer but typically hit-and miss under both codes since, running a moody race at Southwell last month.

Anniversary (5/4), Sax Appeal (7/2), Charging Thunder (4/1), Elysian Flame (5/1), Wahraan (17/2)

Verdict

ANNIVERSARY could be set to make up for lost time in staying handicaps and can make a successful return to turf. Sax Appeal might be the danger.
