Catchim²¹

Age: 8| Weight: 12-0| J: James Bowen| T: C & A Pogson| OR: 96

9/4

Fair maiden chaser who ran right up to his best when runner-up at Southwell in November. Not so good on his next 3 starts, though probably needed the run at Southwell 3 weeks ago. Reliant on an easy lead.

Jiair Madrik^h,t²⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 12-0| J: Theo Gillard| T: D McCain Jnr| OR: 96WS

8/1

Fair winner of a conditions hurdle in France in 2023 who posted best effort for this yard when second on chase debut at Catterick in January. Did all he could but still failed to beat a rival at Bangor last month and now the hood goes back on (has also had a breathing operation).

Form: 2/8P2F4

Grain Trade^t³⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 11-10| J: G Sheehan| T: Billy Aprahamian| OR: 92| C

6/5

Strong-travelling sort who stepped up on chase bow when winning here (19f) in October. Proving expensive to follow since, not jumping well enough when fourth of 7 over C&D last month, but this looks a weak race and it's surely a matter of time before he adds to his tally.

Form: 1FP244

O'Grady's Hill^p²¹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-8| J: James Best| T: S-J Davies| OR: 76

11/1

Point winner who was runner-up in a bumper/maiden hurdles for Harry Derham in summer 2024. However, she hasn't fired in a handful of appearances for this yard and others make more appeal.

Form: 4-54553

Greenways^p,t1²⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 10-3| J: Harry Bannister| T: R Potter| OR: 71

9/1

Confirmed his previous chasing promise when winning Uttoxeter handicap (2m, good) last July. His form has gone the wrong way since, though, and hopes are pinned on a first-time tongue tie sparking a revival.

Form: 5P5PP6

Chateau Du Lys^p1,t¹³³

Age: 7| Weight: 10-2| J: William Maggs⁽³⁾| T: T R Gretton| OR: 69

11/1

Little solid form and finished extremely weakly when last seen at Southwell in December. First-time cheekpieces go on.

Form: 0763-PP

Forecasts

Grain Trade (6/5), Catchim (9/4), Jiair Madrik (8/1), Greenways (9/1), Chateau Du Lys (11/1), O'Grady's Hill (11/1)

He's been expensive to follow since opening his account, but GRAIN TRADE looks to have been found a weak race so may well be able to add to his tally at the expense of Catchim, who probably needed the outing at Southwell 3 weeks ago and has James Bowen back aboard here.
