First Past The Post At CopyBet Mares' Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race)

Off time: 14:10 | Winning time: 4m 17.34s

Briery Rose³⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-6| J: David Bass| T: H D Daly

22/1

Out of a talented mare for same connections and 2 runs in bumpers 14 months apart probably haven't got to the bottom of her. One to note now hurdling.

Form: 5-8

Chatty Girl⁴⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 11-6| J: Bryan Carver| T: A M Hales| OR: 102

7/4

Didn't kick on in bumpers following debut success and it's been a mixed bag over hurdles this season, although she's been placed twice over 2m and has solid claims in this company on those efforts.

Form: 95-2534

Curious Mrs Fox¹⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 11-6| J: Joshua Thompson⁽⁵⁾| T: D Thompson

66/1

Poor maiden on the Flat, shaped with a little encouragement on hurdling debut after 6 months off at Newcastle recently, albeit in a race that severely lacked depth. Hard to fancy.

Form: 4

Diamonds Galore²⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 11-6| J: James Bowen| T: N J Henderson| OR: 112

8/13

Fair form in bumpers and found just one too good first 3 starts over hurdles this season after a breathing operation (should have landed a gamble at Ludlow in February but lost momentum with a mistake at the last). Easy to back and possibly amiss at Kelso last time and clearly better than that.

Form: 3P-222P

Flying Pimpernel²⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 11-6| J: G Sheehan| T: Jamie Snowden

22/1

Fair form in bumpers but well held in 2 maiden hurdles in quick succession last month, shaping as if amiss latest.

Form: 28344

Georgia's Charm²⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 11-6| J: J J Burke| T: F O'Brien

16/1

Career has been stop-start so far but she shaped better second time up over hurdles for this yard (her third) at Ludlow last month. Needs to kick on from that.

Form: 328-P5

Pour Tout Le Monde^h⁵¹⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-6| J: Oscar Palmer⁽⁷⁾| T: A Crook

200/1

Only modest form shown in a trio of bumpers in 2024 and makes hurdles debut after a lengthy absence.

Form: 750-

Forecasts

Diamonds Galore (8/13), Chatty Girl (7/4), Georgia's Charm (16/1), Briery Rose (22/1), Flying Pimpernel (22/1), Curious Mrs Fox (66/1), Pour Tout Le Monde (200/1)

This won't take much winning and DIAMONDS GALORE can bounce back to form with victory. She clearly wasn't 100% at Kelso and probably would have scored at Ludlow prior to that but for a bad mistake late on. Chatty Girl is the obvious danger.
