Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Failed to progress over hurdles last season but left previous chase efforts in his wake when edging ahead late to open his account over C&D 3 weeks ago, jumping fine under this rider. Could be the way to go despite a 5 lb rise.

Poor strike rate but got off the mark in this sphere having been strong in the betting following a 9-week break in 4-runner 3m handicap at Huntingdon 3 weeks ago, again looking a thorough stayer. Got to be respected nudged up 2 lb.

Handled the atrocious conditions better than the rest when off the mark over 19f here in December (only 2 finished). Has struggled from inflated marks since though, and now tackles a longer trip.
