Charlotte Savill Memorial Novices' Limited Handicap Hurdle

Fair 1¼m Flat winner has steadily progressed on the figures over hurdles, promising more than she delivered when (blinkered) fifth of 7 on handicap bow at Wincanton. Given a chance by the handicapper, though.

Low mileage 6-y-o seemingly hasn't been the easiest to train, but he did finish a narrow second to a subsequent winner over C&D in May. Found less than looked likely that day but could still go close if ready to roll.

Hit the frame for the fourth consecutive handicap start when fourth of 14 at Huntingdon (2m4½f) last time. Well backed on that occasion and the drop to this intermediate trip may see him get his head in front for the first time.

C&D fourth in December has worked out reasonably well and though disappointing on the all-weather last time, he could prove more competitive back over hurdles.

Modest 3-time winner on Flat for Richard Hannon (stays 1½m) but fared no better for the switch to handicap hurdle here last time and hopes pinned on the application of first-time headgear in this sphere.

Showed potential first 2 hurdle starts but well held twice since, latest when sent off 40/1 on handicap debut at Wincanton. Interesting to see if market expects better with tongue strap on first time.

Poor maiden in this sphere and though hit and miss on Flat since returning from an absence, still worth a look in the betting on first hurdle start for yard among the winners.

Has clearly had issues and no show in 2 starts for new yard, latterly on chase debut at Huntingdon in December.

Hinted at ability in a bumper but little to shout about over hurdles, failing by a long chalk to justify support (6/1) on handicap debut here last time.
