£80,000 point winner who landed bumper at Kelso a year ago. Improved in each of his first 3 runs over hurdles, getting off the mark in 11-runner novice at Newcastle in January. Folded as though amiss on handicap debut at Haydock (19f) a month ago and now back up in trip minus tongue tie.

£28,000 5-y-o, Balko gelding. Half-brother to very smart hurdler/smart chaser Bacardys. Runner-up last 2 starts in Irish points and fitted with a tongue tie, he shaped with promise when third of 9 in a course bumper 3 weeks ago. In an ordinary race for hurdles debut.
Runner-up once from 3 starts in Irish points and caught the eye in 2 runs over hurdles in the space of a week last spring.
Winner on the Flat/over hurdles for Joseph O'Brien. Tongue tied and well held on handicap/stable debut 3 weeks ago but this is an easier race for him to bounce back in.
Fairly useful on Flat (stays 11f) for William Haggas, making it back-to-back wins in sellers when landing the odds at Chelmsford in September. Hooded and wayward first effort over hurdles at Fontwell in November but much more like it when third at Stratford 4 weeks ago.
Modest maiden on Flat (stays 11.5f), not seen to best effect last time. Goes without usual headgear for hurdles debut.
Bred to have a future but little in the way of promise both bumper starts this winter.
Limited on the Flat and well held on hurdles debut in January.

Forecasts
Is This For Real (11/8), Forever Penywern (3/1), Moves Like Mason (3/1), Katarcice (13/2), Cinammon Coco (16/1), Karthala (22/1), Maestrow (33/1), Papa Oscar (250/1)
KATARCICE showed ability in points and it was a similar story when third in a course bumper 3 weeks ago. Expected to build on that, he could be the answer now hurdling. Cinammon Coco and Is This For Real (stablemate of the selection) both need to shrug off heavy defeats but are dangerous if doing so.
