Likeable stayer looked a tad fortunate to get his head in front over C&D in December, though no fluke at his follow-up victory at Warwick last time. Seemingly better than ever, but that's reflected in a career-high mark.
Lightly-raced 6-y-o chased home a subsequent winner on Newbury handicap bow prior to making it 2-2 over hurdles at Wetherby in good style in late-February. He's in the right hands to keep improving and should make a bold bid for this valuable pot.
Landed second success since a breathing operation when seeing off a couple of subsequent winners (including Heather Honey) at Aintree but struggled off this mark when sixth behind Super Survivor over C&D in December. Could be more competitive off a break, though (fair record when fresh).
Expensive point purchase has improved as a second season hurdler, following up Ascot win with a comprehensive defeat of I Am Max at Doncaster last time. Needs more to land the hat-trick in deeper waters, but that's not out of the question given his profile.
Having found the race coming too soon when bidding for a hat-trick at Ludlow, emphatically resumed progress with a taking victory in 18-runner handicap at Ascot in mid-February. This is a deeper handicap, but he's improving fast and can follow up.
Consistent sort continued her fine run of form when chasing home Super Survivor at Warwick last time and while likely to give her running again, she's probably vulnerable to less-exposed types.
Progressive mare who registered a fifth career win when capitalising on a drop in class over C&D last time, though given her current trajectory, it wouldn't be a surprise if she holds her own in better company.
Got the better of Doughmore Boy in the 2024 renewal of this race and bounced back to form with sights lowered when runner-up at Market Rasen in early-February. Has undergone another breathing operation since, and he makes appeal from handy mark with more experienced conditional taking over.
Fairly useful sort pulled clear of the rest but was no match for unexposed Jakar Du Moulin at Doncaster last time. Remains a workable mark, but he'll have better opportunities with sights lowered.

Forecasts
Blue Carpet (9/4), Walden (9/2), Heather Honey (6/1), I Am Max (6/1), Jakar Du Moulin (7/1), Secret Trix (9/1), Ernest Gray (16/1), Porter In The Park (16/1), Super Survivor (20/1)
Improving pair WALDEN and Blue Carpet are likely to have this between them, with Tom Lacey's charge narrowly preferred following an emphatic success at Ascot last time. Secret Trix is 1 lb lower than when winning the 2024 renewal of this race and has seemingly been campaigned with a repeat in mind.
