You Some Girl^h,t⁹⁹

Age: 9| Weight: 11-6| J: William Maggs⁽³⁾| T: R Menzies| OR: 112| D

22/1

Fair handicap hurdler (tends to travel strongly) who made a successful start over fences in 3-runner maiden at Newcastle in October. However, pulled up in handicap chase at Market Rasen (27.5f) on Boxing Day, beaten before lack of stamina could be blamed.

Form: 31415P

Eaton Anne^b1¹⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 11-4| J: S Bowen| T: O Murphy| OR: 110| D

9/2

Won back-to-back handicap hurdles last season and, in first-time cheekpieces, stepped forward from his chasing debut when second of 4 in novice handicap at Wetherby 18 days ago, despite making mistakes. Needs to brush up with his jumping with blinkers now applied.

Form: 75-4752

Orkney Blue⁴⁰

Age: 8| Weight: 11-3| J: K Brogan| T: N W Alexander| OR: 109| BF| CD

9/2

Runner-up twice in maiden hurdles last season and, returned to more positive tactics, left behind first 2 efforts over fences when winning a C&D handicap in February. Not quite in the same form at Ayr 3 weeks later, but has been given more time ahead of this race.

Form: 42-6P13

Loulou Madrik^p¹⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 11-1| J: Jamie Hamilton| T: M Walford| OR: 107

11/4

Much improved when placed in maiden and novice hurdle at Newcastle (both at 2½m) in January. Bounced back from a lesser effort when rallying for fifth in valuable 10-runner novice handicap at Musselburgh 15 days ago, so 3m should suit as he makes chasing debut.

Form: 842345

Big Zouk⁵⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 10-10| J: Sean Quinlan| T: N G Richards| OR: 102| BF| D

11/2

Every inch a chaser on looks (winning Irish pointer earlier in career) and made a successful debut in this sphere in an Ayr handicap in January. Went backwards from that effort when pulled up at Kelso a month later, but has had a longer break since.

Forecasts

Benmore (5/2), I Wish You (5/2), Loulou Madrik (11/4), Orkney Blue (9/2), Eaton Anne (9/2), Big Zouk (11/2), You Some Girl (22/1)

BENMORE has made up into a better chaser than hurdler, gaining a second victory in this sphere with a determined success here last month, and he can add to his tally upped in trip. I Wish You took a step forward over fences when scoring at Wetherby and could be the main danger, with Orkney Blue also considered.
