Course bumper/maiden hurdle winner arrives on the back of breathing operation having found little when pulled up in the Morebattle here, yet he cannot be discounted dropping markedly in grade.

Lightly-raced 6-y-o was taken on for the lead when disappointing under a penalty at Sedgefield in December, though high hopes he can bounce back returning from a break on a handy opening mark.

Well below form after winning a valuable contest at the Punchestown Festival last April. 8-month break/breathing operation will need to spark a revival (also wears first-time tongue strap).

Hasn't improved with experience over fences but goes well here (including in better company last season) and should at least be competitive on hurdles return.

Returning from another breathing operation/4 months off when falling heavily in Newcastle chase latest and she'll need to bounce back to form from out of the blue, as she did when successful here (off 1 lb higher) last season.

Has proven another success story for her trainer, travelling smoothly when notching a fourth success (including a C&D win) for the yard at Musselburgh last time. She needs more off 4 lb higher in a deeper race, however.

Useful stayer on Flat for Andre Fabre who confirmed his hurdling debut promise when decisive winner of 2m1f Carlisle novice last time. Should stay this far and he looks a likely improver off a potentially lenient opening mark.

Off since disappointing at Musselburgh in November but merits a market check given his C&D record (placed all 3 starts here).
