8/1

Looked better than ever when notching fifth success over hurdles at Taunton in November but has failed to back that up in 2 subsequent starts, including when tackling fences for the first time at Chepstow last month.

Sage Green^h,t¹⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-4| J: James Best| T: S Hosie| OR: 106| D

8/11

Irish point winner who showed fair form without managing to get his head in front over hurdles. Departed before the race began in earnest over C&D recently but he's a chasing type on looks and is interesting with the hood refitted.

Form: 65724F

Sanitiser^b⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-2| J: Tom Cannon| T: G & J Moore| OR: 104| D

13/8

Has taken well to fences, landing handicaps at Plumpton and Fontwell the last twice. 5 lb rise for latest success doesn't look at all harsh and this 7-y-o should make a bold bid to complete the hat-trick.

Forecasts

Sage Green (8/11), Sanitiser (13/8), Park Talk (13/2), Melton Mossy (8/1)

The fact that SAGE GREEN failed to complete on his chase debut is a slight negative but this former point winner appeals as the type to make his mark over fences. Provided that his jumping passes the test this time, he can add substance to that theory by ending Sanitiser's winning run. Park Talk possesses ability but he doesn't tend to find much when it comes to the crunch.
