Veteran who signed off last season with a solid third at Newbury and didn't shape at all badly on his belated reappearance under this rider at Taunton (3m, good to soft) 25 days ago. Will be sharper now and a bold show could be on the way.

Bagged his second handicap hurdle of the current campaign at Taunton on penultimate start, but ran no sort of a race at Newbury next time and couldn't be sure that this step up in trip is what he wants.

Dual point winner who responded well to the first-time visor when opening hurdles account at Worcester last summer. However, he was put in his place at Newton Abbot next time and opposable back from a 6-month break on debut for new yard witn the visor omitted.

Now 3 lb below last winning mark and back on track following a couple of non-completions when sixth in a big-field Ascot handicap last month. Couldn't rule out.

Major improver switched to handicaps since the turn of the year, winning back-to-back races over 3¼m at Fontwell and Warwick before departing at around the halfway point at Doncaster. Remains open to improvement and he's high on the shortlist.

Little impact in 3 runs so far this season but her profile suggests that she's at her best during the spring/summer months and resumes from a break here on a workable mark (and with conditions in her favour).

Runner-up in novice hurdles either side of Ffos Las maiden success during the autumn. Failed to deliver on handicap bow at Kempton but followed that with solid seconds at Leicester and latterly upped to 21.5f at this course. This new trip is worth exploring and he needs considering.

Runner-up over hurdles at Bangor on reappearance (form worked out well) and excuses on account of quick turnaround at Exeter next time. Decent fourth back in this sphere over C&D last time but it's likely that he'll again find a few too good.

Stepped up on his low-key effort here in December when fourth in a pretty strong 8-runner Taunton handicap later that month. Latest third at Newbury (20.5f, heavy) was not so good but this stiffer test could be just what the doctor ordered.

Fair ex-Irish handicap hurdler for Louise Lyons but beaten 29 lengths when fourth to Mr Griffiths on stable debut at Warwick and it's hard to envisage him getting the better of that rival here.

This step up in trip may benefit AT THE OCHE and he could be the answer under an amateur who boasts a 29% strike rate over hurdles. The unexposed Mr Griffiths will be a huge threat if none the worse for his tumble when bidding for the hat-trick at Doncaster, while Balboa has to enter calculations now upped in trip. Others to consider in a competitive race include the top-weight Jatiluwih and Striking A Pose, who has slipped to an attractive mark.
