Baby Katep132
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-7| J: Brian Hayes| T: W P Mullins| OR:  121| D
Fairly useful hurdler who failed to measure up to market expectations (sent off at 3/1) when fifth of 6 in the Quevega Mares Hurdle at Punchestown (2½m, heavy) 32 days ago. Obvious claims on these terms but it may be that she'll prove best away from soft/heavy ground. Cheekpieces applied.

Age: 5|  Weight: 11-7| J: Jack Kennedy| T: G Elliott| OR:  118| D
Fair hurdler who has won 2 of her 6 starts over hurdles. 22/1. Wasn't knocked about when 12½ lengths fifth of 7 to Kalypso'chance in Monksfield Novices' Hurdle at Navan (2½m, heavy) on latest start in November. Solid form chance but, as in the case of Baby Kate, forecast conditions here are a worry.

Eye Of A Tiger80
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-7| J: Michael Kenneally(5)| T: J P Ryan| OR:  107| D
Fair hurdler. Was starting to struggle when exiting 3 out on chase debut at Tramore (2m, soft) on New Year's Day. No great surprise that she reverts to hurdles and a bold show could be on the way, for all that she has a bit to find with Baby Kate and Blue Waters on these terms.

Miss Corby36
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-7| J: Josh Williamson(5)| T: M F Morris| OR:  102
Opened hurdles account in a Ballinrobe mares maiden hurdle last spring. Sent off at 20/1 when coming home a well-beaten eighth of 14 in handicap hurdle at Gowran (2½m, heavy) 36 days ago. Looks up against it.

Forecasts

Baby Kate (10/11), Blue Waters (13/8), Eye Of A Tiger (7/1), Miss Corby (12/1)

Verdict

In truth, the forecast heavy ground probably isn't ideal for any of these. EYE OF A TIGER meets Baby Kate and Blue Waters on significantly worse terms than she would if this were a handicap but, on the upside, there's a good chance that she'll be allowed a soft lead, while the return to this sphere could have an uplifting effect following a failed experiment over fences last time. The 6-y-o should also represent decent value compared to the aforementioned rivals.
