€44,000 3-y-o, Soldier of Fortune gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including useful hurdler/chaser Lieutenant Rocco, stays 3¾m, and fairly useful 25f hurdle winner Golden Gift. Stoutly bred and shaped that way starting out at Ayr in December. Will know more this time after a breathing operation.
Goliath du Berlais gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including smart hurdler/chase winner Lump Sum. Pitched in deep for debut but showed plenty behind Bass Hunter at Ascot in December. Looks more than good enough to win a bumper.
£240,000 4-y-o, Maxios gelding. Half-brother to a point winner. Dam unraced half-sister to fairly useful hurdler Brianstorm. Won sole start in Irish points in November and good start to Rules career when second of 4 at Fontwell last month (long way clear of the rest). Should be bang there.
Postponed gelding. Half-brother to fair 21f hurdle winner Gentle Life. Dam unraced half-sister to Champion Hurdle winner Punjabi and useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 2½m) Attribution. Yard no stranger to success in this sphere and he showed a bit despite finishing last of 3 on recent debut.

Forecasts
Red Acres Max (4/5), Just For Dad (6/4), Dundee Law (14/1), Coniston Commander (14/1)
JUST FOR DAD showed plenty to work on when mid-field in a warm bumper at Ascot in December and on that evidence, he looks the answer. All 3 rivals have something to recommend them, for all Red Acres Max is the obvious threat.
