Novice winner over this trip on turf prior to pair of good runner-up efforts in handicaps on turf in 2024. Seen only one last season, finishing fifth of 7 in handicap at Ripon (1½m) in April and the betting can prove a useful guide on return to action.

Course winner in December who has essentially remained in form since, posting a creditable fourth at Wolverhampton prior to finishing third at Chelmsford (1¾m) 37 days ago. Truly-run affair will aid his cause now eased back down in trip.
Lightly-raced filly who is going the right way, off the mark in novice at Wolverhampton in December. Found another chunk of improvement when runner-up on handicap bow over this sort of trip 6 weeks ago and very much of interest from 2 lb higher.
Model of consistency on all-weather this winter, scoring 3 times at Lingfield. Posted another solid effort when runner-up at Wolverhampton (1¾m) 8 days ago and expected to go well again back down in class.
Low-mileage 4-y-o who benefited from the marked step up in trip when opening his account at third attempt in 4-runner novice at Catterick (1½m) in August. Had breathing operation ahead of return and he's open to further improvement now handicapping.
C&D winner in June who landed share of the spoils at Chester over this trip in July. Raced closer to the pace than ideal in stronger company at York later that month and no surprise to see a better showing having gone well fresh before.
Lightly-raced filly who doubled her career tally in spite of the drop in trip from 6 lb lower mark over 1¼m here in January. Latest Kempton display was disappointing but she remains capable of better for shrewd stable over longest trip she's faced.

Forecasts
Alther Walden (2/1), Rastnet (10/3), L'Eagle Aid (11/2), Machete (11/2), Selenic (13/2), Charlie's Choice (9/1), Cabrera (16/1)
This looks competitive but RASTNET posted her best effort yet on her first crack at this trip when second at Wolverhampton 6 weeks ago and a repeat should see her play a lead role again. Alther Walden is a likely improver now handicapping as a 4-y-o, with Selenic and L'eagle Aid others worth a look.
