Cheap purchase who is related to several winners and he offered something to work on when fifth in a C&D novice on debut 25 days ago, denied a run over 2f out but keeping on under hands-and-heels ride. May do better.

Well backed up against one that set a fair standard and he showed plenty to work on when second in 3-runner maiden at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 2 weeks ago, no extra only late on. Can build on that here.

€120,000 purchase who was green but he showed definite ability when second of 6 in maiden at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 3 weeks ago. Represents top stable and no surprise to see him take a sizeable step forward.

Went with little immediate promise in a Hamilton maiden (1m) 7 months ago. Passed over on debut for new stable.

€50,000 foal, 510,000 gns yearling, Sea The Stars colt. Brother to 2-y-o 7f winner Shah, closely related to 11.6f winner Aljalela and half-brother to 2-y-o 7.4f/1m winner Ursuly. Appeals on paper for stable no stranger to success with their newcomers.

Forecasts

Starglow (1/1), Wareeth (5/4), Showcasing Star (6/1), Thunder Rush (33/1), Haltonwood (40/1), Balmoral Boy (80/1), The Bitters (150/1), The Floors Munky (200/1)

Verdict

Well-bred Godolphin colt STARGLOW showed definite promise amidst obvious greenness when second on debut at Wolverhampton 3 weeks ago. Sure to have derived plenty from that initial experience, he can get off the mark at the second attempt. Showcasing Star is another likely improver following a promising debut effort, whilst Archie Watson's Wareeth is an interesting newcomer.
