€11,000 half-brother to French 2¼m hurdle winner Mon Getaway. Yard's record in bumpers is poor and it's probably best to look elsewhere this time.

Half-brother to fair hurdler Under The Woods and his dam was also successful over hurdles. Third sole start between the flags in October and he's a likely-looking candidate for this Rules debut.

€18,000 half-brother to fairly useful hurdle winner/useful chaser The Doyen Chief, stays 3¼m, and modest hurdler Arctic Angel. Yard's strike rate in this race-type is modest and he's entitled to come on for the run.

Half-brother to fair hurdler Jem In Em (stays 3¾m) and while he is bred to appreciate a stiffer test, it will nevertheless be interesting to see how he shapes up in the betting.

Brother to useful 2½m hurdle winner Kalkbrenner, while his dam, who was pulled up sole start in points, is a sister to smart hurdler (probably stayed 19f) Quick Grabim. Clear-cut winner of a maiden point in December and he's of strong interest on Rules debut.

Harzand mare. Half-sister to bumper winners Shantou's Melody and Glens Lullaby. Obvious appeal given her pedigree and the yard she represents, and it will look highly significant if she's strong in the betting.

Doesn't have the look of a probable first-time-out winner on paper and fact that she sports a hood for this debut is somewhat disconcerting.

Half-brother to useful hurdler Shoot First and fair 2¼m hurdle winner Spin A Yarn, stayed 21f. Wears tongue strap for this debut. Pretty appealing on paper and needs a second look in the betting.

Harzand filly out of a unraced mare, closely related to useful hurdler/fairly useful chaser (stayed 3¼m) A Great View. Probably best watched on debut.

Forecasts

Bunker Buster (13/8), Glens Anthem (9/4), Flying Ace (8/1), Last Apache (8/1), Super Junior (9/1), Colossal Impact (12/1), Friars Park (12/1), Harzara (40/1), Tullyegan Jet (200/1)

Verdict

SUPER JUNIOR was a decisive winner of his sole start between the flags during the autumn and is appealing on Rules debut for a yard that does well in bumpers (20% strike rate in recent seasons). He may well have most to fear from the well-bred Willie Mullins-trained newcomer, Glens Anthem, while Flying Ace is another representative from a powerful yard and merits consideration having showed ability in a maiden point in November.
