Paxtons Serving Farmers Since 1853 Handicap Hurdle

Off time: 16:10 | Winning time: 6m 48.79s

Scudamore^p²⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 12-0| J: Ian Power| T: J Candlish| OR: 94

3/1

Held back by his jumping at Warwick latest but did well (not ideally placed) to split a pair of subsequent winners over C&D prior to that.

Wee Alki^p,t³²

Age: 7| Weight: 11-13| J: Nathan Moscrop| T: S Corbett| OR: 93

6/1

Has gone with little fluency in trio of starts since winning at Hexham in November, again supported when pulled up at Musselburgh last time.

Form: 041P5P

It's Maisy²³

Age: 8| Weight: 11-12| J: Danny McMenamin| T: J Parkinson & S Smith| OR: 92| BF| C

11/4

Sent off 11/8 favourite when fourth behind Dillarchie last month but 4 lb swing at the weights may see her reverse the form. Step up to marathon trip should offset quicker than ideal conditions and she makes appeal off her last successful mark.

Form: 458424

Dillarchie^p,t²³

Age: 9| Weight: 11-8| J: Sean Quinlan| T: Miss J E Foster| OR: 88| CD

7/2

C&D winner ended long losing run when seeing off 3 of today's rivals under a positive ride at Catterick (3m1f) last month and while a 3 lb rise looks fair, she isn't an obvious type to follow up.

Form: P-67231

Community Rebel^p¹⁵

Age: 10| Weight: 10-10| J: Joshua Thompson⁽⁵⁾| T: Micky Hammond| OR: 76

17/2

Struggling for form this season, showing no signs of capitalising on tumbling mark.

Form: P6UP34

Smart Bucks^v1²³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-4| J: Joe Williamson| T: P A Kirby| OR: 70

14/1

Followed back-to-back in-frame efforts with a couple of poor runs (latest behind Dillarchie), though more severe headgear/longer trip can only help.

Form: P64267

Fancy Nancy Pants^p²³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-2| J: Luke Scott⁽³⁾| T: P A Kirby| OR: 68

17/2

Hasn't kicked on from solid third in 3m Wetherby handicap over Christmas, for all she didn't run as poorly (as previous 2 starts) when fifth behind Dillarchie at Catterick last month.

Form: P43PP5

Weight: 11-13| Age: 6

Forecasts

It's Maisy (11/4), Scudamore (3/1), Dillarchie (7/2), Farmer Jimmy (5/1), Wee Alki (6/1), Community Rebel (17/2), Fancy Nancy Pants (17/2), Smart Bucks (14/1)

This can go to IT'S MAISY who should relish this marathon trip. Farmer Jimmy looks interesting if building on his Southwell run, while Scudamore has claims if bouncing back to last month's C&D form.
