Weatherbys Epassport Handicap Hurdle

Second on bumper debut last March. Hasn't really managed to build on that over hurdles, handed a stiff-opening mark and he dropped away before home turn when pulled up at Southwell (2½m) 4 weeks ago. Others much more appealing.

Irish point winner but more miss than hit under Rules so far, running poorly switched back to this sphere when last of 7 in handicap at Wincanton (21f) 32 days ago. Has it to prove with cheekpieces now reached for.

Irish point winner who showed promise in bumpers and wasn't beaten far in a small-field novice at Fontwell over this trip last winter. Folded tamely on his handicap debut/final run for Nicky Henderson at Wincanton 13 months ago but has joined a yard that does well with its recruits (same owner).

Back to winning ways over C&D in May (now 2-2 here) but didn't kick on under either code thereafter, well held in a first-time visor (replaced by usual cheekpieces now) at Kempton in October. Had breathing operation ahead of return. Could bounce back.

Brought along steadily in maiden/novice hurdles during the winter and possible he was unsuited by the drop back to around 2m when a hollow third on handicap debut at Newcastle 25 days ago. This test looks more suitable but may be best guided by the market.

Ended long losing run at Lingfield (2m) in December 2024. Winless since but his mark reflects that and he's posted respectable efforts on each of his last 2 starts at around 2m. However, he's not sure to stay this far and his yard look to hold stronger claims with Carlton.
