Geryville^b⁵⁴

Age: 10| Weight: 12-2| J: C O'Farrell| T: Micky Hammond| OR: 122| CD

7/1

Not the easiest to predict but was second in this last year and he made all in 9-runner C&D handicap (heavy) in January. Up 6 lb but still firmly in the mix if on his A-game again.

Form: 5-52651

No But I Will^v⁸⁶

Age: 9| Weight: 11-10| J: Liam Harrison| T: J S Smith| OR: 116| C

14/1

Not straightforward but largely in good form this season, winning at Cartmel (17f) in August and Fakenham (21f) in December. Only 2 lb higher here.

Form: 232131

Arthur's Quay^t¹⁰⁶

Age: 12| Weight: 11-10| J: R P McLernon| T: B Haslam| OR: 116| D

10/1

Veteran who won at Newcastle in February 2025. Went close to another victory there in October but has performed no more than respectably when third on both outings since.

Form: 554233

William Cody^p²⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 11-9| J: Jack Andrews| T: Mrs P Sly| OR: 115

10/3

Four-time chase winner who was as good as ever when runner-up at Southwell (soft) 4 weeks ago. Cheekpieces go back on. Sometimes finds less than looks likely, but has a fair bit going for him here.

Form: 34-3232

Rath Gaul Hill^b1,t¹⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 11-7| J: S Bowen| T: S Drinkwater| OR: 113

10/3

Three-time chase winner but has been largely disappointing this season, finishing remote last of 4 at Newbury 18 days ago. First-time blinkers (which replace cheekpieces) need to help spark a revival.

Form: 16-83P4

Clonakilty^p,t⁵²

Age: 9| Weight: 11-1| J: Sean Quinlan| T: Lizzie Quinlan| OR: 107

50/1

A fairly useful chase scorer for Olly Murphy but he has offered little in 2 outings for new yard this winter.

Form: P432-0P

Empty Nest^t¹⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 10-2| J: Jamie Hamilton| T: M Walford| OR: 94| CD

7/4

C&D winner who was back on form when runner-up at Newcastle and Doncaster in recent months but needs to shrug off a lesser effort here since.

Form: 6-75226

Forecasts

Empty Nest (7/4), Rath Gaul Hill (10/3), William Cody (10/3), Geryville (7/1), Arthur's Quay (10/1), No But I Will (14/1), Clonakilty (50/1)

WILLIAM CODY was clear of the rest when second at Southwell last time and might be able to go one better now, perhaps at the expense of last-time-out C&D scorer Geryville.
