Caused a big surprise on hunter debut at Leicester (22.7f, soft) 3 weeks ago, belying odds of 50/1 to win that 4-runner affair in ready fashion. This is tougher but he was a useful handicap chaser in his pomp.

Doubled his tally over fences in a Newcastle (23.5f, heavy) handicap chase but his profile has been hit-and-miss of late and he was pulled up in the Grimthorpe recently. On the upside, he's in calmer waters now trying his hand in a hunter for the first time.

Fairly useful chaser who bagged a 3¼m hunter at Kelso in May 2024 but hasn't shone in 3 subsequent starts under Rules.

Brother to smart chase winner Only By Night and this four-time point winner landed a Cheltenham hunter (3¼m, good) on his sole start under Rules to date. Runner-up in an open point recently, so won't be found wanting fitness-wise and merits respect.

Winless since landing a Warwick hunter back in January 2024 and pulled up when attempting to win this season's renewal of the same race. Has suffered heavy defeats between the flags either side of that and readily passed over here.

Runner-up in a hunter for this yard last May and won a regulation handicap chase for Barry Brennan a month later. Creditable second back in this sphere on return at Wincanton (2½m, soft) last month and he's an each-way player.

Fairly useful chaser who got closer to Golden Son than he did on return at Warwick when 11 lengths second to that in-form rival at Taunton (23f, soft) last month. Place possibilities.

Successful sole start over fences in France for Francois Nicolle and made a winning start to life in hunters when landing a 10-runner event at Taunton on debut for Will Biddick in February 2024. Wasn't disgraced sole subsequent start under Rules and warmed up for this with a point win last month.

Winner of 25f Wincanton hunter for Will Biddick in January 2025 but has failed to make an impact in a couple of outings for Paul Nicholls this year. Opposable starting out for another new yard here.

Useful winning chaser here for Harry Fry in 2022/23 but very lightly-raced nowadays and never looked like a landing a meaningful blow on last month's seasonal reappearance at Taunton.

Twice a winner over fences for Anthony Honeyball but hasn't shown a great deal under Rules and in points for present yard.

Veteran who has won 11 times between the flags but she was a well-beaten second in a maiden hunter at Fakenham back in May 2023 (not seen out under Rules since).

MACKLIN was beaten by rivals with significantly higher BHA marks than those he faces here on his latest start under Rules at Cheltenham last spring and, with his wellbeing in no doubt following a decisive display between the flags last month, the 10-y-o should prove hard to beat. Crawter, successful on his sole previous start in this sphere and 4-11 in points, is second choice ahead of Haven't Time and Theformismighty.
