Rejuvenated since fitted with cheekpieces, completing a hat-trick at this venue in a heavy-ground C&D handicap last month. More needed up 5 lb in this stronger race but has to be taken seriously given his upward trajectory.

Not the prettiest to watch at times but knows where the winning post is, as he reiterated with a second win here in a C&D handicap last January. Best effort since when runner-up at Exeter in November and, though below par since, he won't be far away if he puts his best foot forward.
Improved upped to 3m on final 2 starts of last season, winning good-ground handicaps at Doncaster and Wetherby. This 9 lb higher mark, the drop back in trip, forecast slower ground and 12-month absence are reasons enough to look elsewhere on this occasion.
Posted a career-best when landing a heavy-ground Exeter novice (16.7f) on final start of last term but hasn't offered much in handicaps so far this season.
Runner-up in an Irish point and, having shaped well in couple of 2m maiden hurdles, he predictably took a step forward upped to 19f when runner-up on last month's handicap debut at Warwick (soft). High on the shortlist.
£30,000 Irish point recruit who stepped up on what he showed on first 2 starts over hurdles when third in a 10-runner Sedgefield maiden (2½m, soft) last month. Mark for this handicap bow looks fair and further progress could be on the way.
Fair form over hurdles/fences in France and bettered previous efforts on these shores when fourth of 12 in 20.5f Newbury handicap hurdle (heavy) last time. Down another 2 lb and he's one to consider.
Ten-race maiden under Rules who again struggled back from a break here 15 days ago. Hopes pinned on the fitting of cheekpieces working the oracle on debut for new yard.

Forecasts
Up To Trix (5/2), El Gavilan (3/1), Jukebox Fury (5/1), Gustapof (8/1), Jack's Jury (9/1), Double Click (11/1), Sioux Falls (11/1), Close Combat (12/1)
Point winner SIOUX FALLS is still a work in progress but showed clear signs that he's getting the hang of things when third at Sedgefield last time and there should be better to come now that he goes down the handicap route. Gustapof will be a threat off this reduced mark if able to build on his latest effort, while Up To Trix can do better again after his good run at Warwick.
