Most progressive when landing hurdle hat-trick last season and has undergone a breathing operation since pulling up on chase debut (following 15 months off) in early-February. Reasonable to think he can do better (placed in points/out of a winning stayer chaser).

Fairly useful chase winner at his best in Ireland for Paul Nolan, though his jumping issues have resurfaced with a vengeance on both chase starts for new yard. Something to prove.

Fairly useful French bumper winner who opened his hurdles account at Doncaster in December and shaped as if still in form when fourth behind pair next-time-out winners in better race at Catterick last time. Free-going type has the makings of a chaser.

Has remained in fine heart since making successful chase debut over C&D in October, only beaten by subsequent winners on his previous two starts. Solid claims to go one better.

No surprise to see the fitting of more severe headgear having gone in snatches when fourth in Class 5 handicap at Leicester last month, though hard to be confident he can snap a 2-year losing streak upped in grade.
