3-time C&D winner (including this race last year) who has struggled for consistency this season but has definite claims from this mark in first-time blinkers if putting his best his best foot forward.

Three-time winner on the Flat and got off the mark over hurdles in a Stratford novice (16.3f) in July. Mixed bag in 3 subsequent runs in this sphere but ran well back on the level at Kempton recently and must enter calculations.

Winner on the Flat/over hurdles for Joseph Patrick O'Brien. Not obviously well treated making handicap debut in this sphere for new yard but does have the assistance of the excellent Rian Corcoran who claims 7 lb. Tongue tie on for 1st time.

Has been rather disappointing over hurdles since landing a pair of juveniles last season. Posted a good second on the level at Newcastle in January but wasn't in the same form back there last time. Wears blinkers and tongue strap for 1st time over jumps.

Showed some ability remains on his second outing back from a lengthy absence when fourth of 7 in 2m handicap at Wetherby in November. Shaped as if possibly amiss when pulled up at Doncaster later that month and off since.

Improved again to resume winning ways in 6-runner C&D handicap in February and subsequent Ffos Las run can be forgiven, having seemed to find the quick turnaround against him. Remains of interest.

Forecasts

Nap Hand (9/4), Morning Mayhem (11/4), Bluegrass (11/4), Tapley (4/1), Takeit Easy (13/2), Cinammon Coco (12/1), Inappropriate (14/1)

Verdict

MORNING MAYHEM's latest effort can be excused on account of the quick turnaround, so he's well worth another chance for an emerging yard. Nap Hand arrives fit from a good run on the level and must enter the reckoning, along with Tapley, a former winner of this race.
