Point winner who hasn't looked straightforward over hurdles and switch to chasing failed to improve his suspect temperament when third on handicap bow at Ludlow (2m) in November. Absent since finishing midfield over hurdles at Wetherby in December and others more appealing.

9/4

Won a pair of 2m handicap hurdles last season but hasn't really taken to this discipline, finishing a well held fourth on latest outing here 7 weeks ago. Steps back up in trip with his mark having eased further but others hold stronger claims.

Age: 7| Weight: 11-4| J: R T Dunne| T: Ian Williams| OR: 94

7/2

Second on completed start in points and hinted at ability without making the frame in a trio of novice hurdles over the winter. However, handed a stiff looking mark and he never figured on handicap chase debut over C&D 5 weeks ago. More required with cheekpieces now applied.

Boasts a decent strike rate at a low level and he was back on the scoresheet at Market Rasen (21.4f) in June. Minus usual cheekpieces (refitted now) ran well after 9 months off when second here 10 days ago and no surprise to see him thereabouts again back down in trip.

Forecasts

Rap Soul (5/6), Cloudy Wednesday (13/8), Synchronist (9/4), Wings On Wheels (7/2), Big Boy Barney (9/2), Lunar Ocean (5/1)

RAP SOUL has looked a different proposition since going chasing, landing back-to-back Plumpton handicaps, the latest on Monday. He can get the hat trick up turned out quickly. Cloudy Wednesday could be the chief danger.
