Desert Halo³²

Age: 7| Weight: 11-12| J: Harry Bannister| T: R Bandey| OR: 95

Last season's second in Lingfield maiden remains a standout effort, and now switches to handicap hurdles following an underwhelming spell over fences.

Form: 44-4U73

Kotari¹³⁷

10/3

Close third on latest hurdle start in December 2024 (ran creditably on Flat since) and while prospect of slowly-run race isn't ideal for keen sort returning from 4 months off/breathing operation, he has to enter calculations in a thin handicap.

Form: 55845/3-

Golden Circet¹⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-10| J: R P McLernon| T: J & S Best| OR: 93

3/1

Fairly useful handicapper on Flat, winning twice in 2025. Not at that level in a trio of starts in this sphere over the winter but switch to handicapping should see him in a much better light.

Form: 525

Lord Of The Glance⁵⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 10-7| J: Kielan Woods| T: A M Hales| OR: 76

11/4

Maiden showed first form over hurdles when runner-up behind class-dropping stablemate on handicap bow at Fakenham in January. Looked far from straightforward that day but isn't fully exposed.

Form: 6/U7-082

Pink 'n Purple³²

Age: 4| Weight: 10-5| J: Ben Smith⁽⁷⁾| T: J W Mullins| OR: 83

6/1

Hinted at ability in a bumper, and while yet to show anything (other than an awkward head carriage) over hurdles, he could make more impact now tackling a low-grade handicap.

Form: 6565

Simon The Seagull^v1⁸⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 10-5| J: M Goldstein| T: Mrs D Grissell| OR: 69

9/1

Maiden races from 5 lb out of the handicap and isn't one to rely on.

Form: 933P-4P

Non-Runners

Fravanco¹²

Weight: 11-12| Age: 7

T: M Madgwick J: Non Runner

Forecasts

Lord Of The Glance (11/4), Golden Circet (3/1), Kotari (10/3), Fravanco (4/1), Pink 'n Purple (6/1), Desert Halo (13/2), Simon The Seagull (9/1)

A market to keep a close eye on. Fairly useful Flat performer GOLDEN CIRCET is taken to make a winning start in handicaps, though Kotari is open to improvement back over hurdles, while lightly raced Lord of The Glance showed ability last time, as well as temperament.
