Son of Annie Power was very much on the up when showing good speed to make it 3-3 in Listowel novice in September but was too free in the face of more testing ground/much better opposition in the Grade 1 Brave Inca on return last month.

Fairly useful dual winner at Downpatrick this season, though he found life tougher back up in class at Punchestown last time (not ideally placed) and he's in even deeper waters on this occasion.

Useful Flat winner opened his hurdle account at Down Royal in November prior to running Koktail Brut close at Fairyhouse. Further behind that rival when fifth in Grade 1 Brave Inca last month but is fancied to capitalise on a drop in class.

Fairly useful bumper winner who got much further second time up over hurdles, looking set to score in good style before crumpling on landing last in Cork maiden in December (form has worked out well). Has been given time to get over that and he looks sure to progress.

Fairly useful bumper/maiden winner who's done little wrong to date, but found step up to Grade 3 too hot to handle last time and this looks an even stronger race.

Forecasts

Blake (11/10), Davy Crockett (15/8), Lazare De Star (2/1), Le Labo (6/1), Parnell Street (10/1), Jony R (16/1)

Verdict

This could be tactically interesting, with no obvious pace. BLAKE is likely to be ridden handy and he sets the standard back down in grade, though Le Labo created a very good impression before unseating at Cork in December, while it's unlikely we've seen the best of Lazare de Star, either.
