Still looking for first success but he lines up here having posted good efforts on 2 of last 3 starts, latterly when second in 5-runner handicap hurdle at Lingfield 4 weeks ago. This further increase in trip worth exploring on that evidence and cheekpieces could put an extra edge on him.
On a going day when successful back over hurdles at Huntingdon (25f, good) last winter. Better effort since returning from 12 months on the sidelines when 8 lengths fourth over C&D in December. Needs to build on that now following a short layoff.
Modest maiden hurdler in 2023/24. Pulled up on return from long absence in October and again showed nothing when failing to complete on chase bow at Ludlow (20f) 51 days ago. Quickly reverts to timber over this markedly longer distance.
On a long losing run and following a largely disappointing 2025 he failed to revive on the back of a 4month break when last of 4 in handicap at Fakenham (23.4f) 7 weeks ago. Needs to show more before becoming of interest again.
Modest maiden hurdler for Donald McCain in 2023/24 who registered 3 victories between the Flags back in 2024.However, showed nothing following almost 2 years off when pulled up over fences for this yard at Leicester in December. Hard to warm to back over timber. Blinkers now tried.
Maiden who made more impact than previously when runner-up in 3 runner affair at Leicester (20.5f, heavy) in December. Bred to stay long distances but not seen his races out over 3m+ last 2 starts. Forecast better ground could help in that regard now and mark is easing all the time.

Forecasts
Bredon Hill Dart (1/1), Welcheston Warrier (9/4), Jack The Savage (3/1), Braganza Bay (3/1), Fox Cottage (9/2), Black Occ (7/1), Ffree Pedro (33/1)
WELCHESTER WARRIER arrives having finished runner-up on 2 of his last 3 starts and, with this further increase in trip looking worthy of exploration, he could be the answer with first-time cheekpieces also reached for. Bredon Hill Dart would be a danger to all if choosing to line up here as opposed to Exeter on Friday. Fox Cottage isn't one to give up on yet, either.
