Bred to be useful and made an encouraging start when fourth of 12 in a Newmarket maiden in July, form which has worked out very well. Absent since but the one to beat with improvement to come.

With hood applied for debut, showed a bit to work on amidst inexperience when fourth of 5 in novice at this course (7f) 2 weeks ago. Looks one for further down the line, though.

Forecasts

Billecart (1/6), Wuood (5/1), Too Darn Spicy (28/1), Shimmering Spirit (80/1)

Verdict

A 380,000 gns purchase as a yearling, BILLECART knew his job on debut when fourth in a hotly-contested Newmarket maiden last summer and looks to hold leading claims on his return. Well-bred newcomer Wuood could be the one to give the selection most to think about.
