Won 4 handicap chases on the bounce (including here) for this yard in 2023. Posted much his best effort since rejoining Fergal O'Brien when runner-up back at this course over fences (19.2f, soft) last month. Step back up in trip looks a good move and, though 0-14 in this sphere, he merits respect.

Back to winning ways over C&D off a 4 lb lower mark in November. Not in quite the same form since but this ease in class will help (contested 0-110 handicaps the last twice) and should make his presence felt.

Largely struggled for David Brace last season and pulled up on belated return/debut for new yard at Ffos Las at the end of January. However, has looked an improved model in winning handicaps at Fakenham and Plumpton since, and he's the one to beat under a penalty.

JUNIOR DES MOTTES made an inauspicious start for this yard but he hasn't looked back since, winning his next two starts with minimum fuss and, in doing so, leaving the strong impression that he's still well ahead of the handicapper. The hat-trick beckons for Nick Scholfield's charge, with Chief Black Robe preferred to Seahouses for forecast purposes.
