It Pays To Buy Irish Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Posted excellent second on return in Huntingdon handicap chase (16.5f) in November. Not been in same form since, latterly over hurdles at Warwick, but must enter calculations back over the larger obstacles here.

Capitalised on a reduced mark at Newbury (16.4f) last March and showed a good attitude to follow up at Chepstow (16.1f) the following month. Below par sole start this term, however, and would likely prefer a sounder surface.

Belatedly off the mark at Wetherby (15.2f) last March and all the better for return when resuming winning ways at Ludlow (16f) in November. Backed that up with good fourth of 6 in handicap chase at Doncaster (16.4f, good to soft) since and ought to go well again.

Back from 6 months off when solid third in Bangor handicap chase (17.4f) in November. Below that level in stronger contest since but can't be ruled out here.

French bumper winner who got back on the up when scoring at Doncaster (19.4f) in December. Shaped as if still in good form when fourth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Catterick (19.3f, good to soft) 41 days ago and looks a likely contender on chase debut here
