15/8

Amelia's Star⁷²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: Kielan Woods| T: D Killahena & G McPherson

7/2

Bumper winner last winter. Promising start over hurdles when second at Huntingdon in November and likely flying too high in listed company at Haydock since. Should fare better back in calmer waters.

Form: 218-29

Borna Gem²⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-2| J: James Turner⁽⁵⁾| T: N & W Twiston-Davies

100/1

Point winner but only modest form in 2 bumpers and on her completed start over hurdles.

Form: P1/62-3B

Catwalk Girl²⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: David Bass| T: M Comley

22/1

Point winner and showed up well on Rules debut when third of 12 in 21f Ludlow mares' maiden hurdle 26 days ago. Should have more to offer but the reopposing Afancy Getaway was 8½ lengths ahead in second at Ludlow.

Form: 4321-23

Edith Pelham¹³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: J J Burke| T: F O'Brien| D

5/1

Point winner and followed up in Aintree bumper in October. Finished 3 lengths ahead of reopposing Shotgun Shirley when encouraging third on 19f Warwick hurdle debut in January and seemed unsuited by the drop back in trip when only sixth over 2m at Market Rasen since. Worth another chance.

Form: 1-1636

Shotgun Shirley^h³⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: Tom Cannon| T: L Wadham

2/1

Progressive in bumpers and promise in 2 mares' novice hurdles this winter whilst leaving the impression she's capable of even better. Should go well but has 3 lengths to make up on Edith Pelham from Warwick last time.

Form: 24-1274

Forecasts

Afancy Getaway (15/8), Shotgun Shirley (2/1), Amelia's Star (7/2), Edith Pelham (5/1), Catwalk Girl (22/1), Borna Gem (100/1)

EDITH PELHAM likely found the trip too short at Market Rasen a couple of weeks ago and is given another chance to confirm the promise of her Warwick hurdle debut third prior to that. Shotgun Shirley was 3 lengths behind her in fourth on that occasion and is taken to provide the main threat ahead of Ben Pauling Ludlow runner-up Afancy Getaway.
