A fairly useful 1½m winner on Flat for Tom Clover last May. Changed hands for 70,000 gns and built on hurdling debut promise when landing 11-runner novice at Musselburgh (15.6f, good to soft) 14 days ago. Capable of further progress so rates a player for last year's successful yard.

Fair 2m Flat winner in France who has made a bright start in this sphere, going away at the finish when bagging 7-runner juvenile at Chepstow (16.1f, soft) 33 days ago. That race has already thrown up a couple of winners so big shout.

A fair 1m2f scorer on the level for Daniel & Claire Kubler last summer. Changed hands for 15,000 gns in October and can't be ruled out now going over hurdles.

Son of Belardo was lighly raced on the Flat for Karl Burke but still scored twice, latterly in 1m4f handicap at Hamilton in September. Joined Olly Murphy for 82,000 gns after and he's an interesting newcomer.

Fair ex-French winning 2m1f hurdler who ran his best race for current yard when fourth of 9 in handicap at Ludlow (15.8f, soft) 45 days ago, especially as not ideally placed. Holds solid claims.

A fair 2m winner on the level in 2025 for Jedd O'Keefe. Failed to build on hurdling debut third for Harry Derham when last of 7 in 2m Chepstow juvenile 33 days ago and starts out for another new stable here having changed hands for just 1,000 gns.

Dual 7f/1m winner on the Flat but he offered little sent hurdling when sixth of eight in juvenile at Market Rasen (16.6f, soft) 12 days ago. Needs to take a major step forward.

Twice raced in France and much better effort over hurdles when second in 2m1f claimer at Fontainebleau in November for David Cottin. Since changed hands for €16,696 and one to consider now going hurdling for his new yard.

Forecasts

Thewoodcorner (1/1), Gallivanted (85/40), Zarakerjack (5/1), Golden Falls (11/2), Chico Magnifica (11/2), Monark Wood (25/1), Louie The Legend (100/1), Calibos (125/1), Jedhi Knight (150/1)

Verdict

A few of these bring potential, not least Nicky Henderson's French recruit THEWOODCORNER who scored in taking style at Chepstow last time and can defy a 7 lb penalty with that form working out really well. Harry Derham took this 12 months ago and his Musselburgh scorer Gallivanted rates a big threat, while Olly Murphy's hurdling debutant Chico Magnifica also warrants plenty of respect. Golden Falls completes the shortlist in this competitive juvenile.
