Amroth Bay Static Caravan Sales Handicap Hurdle

Off time: 15:00 | Winning time: 6m 49.40s

La Higuera^p²⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 12-0| J: K Brogan| T: T Lawes| OR: 105| D

10/3

Progressive stayer who readily landed a double at Southwell earlier this month and while further progress cannot be ruled out, a 9 lb rise certainly makes life tougher for this hat-trick bid.

Form: 432311

Sparkling Duke^p³⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 11-13| J: Ben Jones| T: K Woollacott| OR: 104| CD

5/4

Made it 2-2 at this track when well-suited by a test of stamina over C&D last month and even though he remains one to treat with caution (ran a stinker at Exeter penultimate start), he does have conditions to suit again.

Form: 341-171

Clondaw Royale³⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 11-12| J: Benjamin Macey⁽⁵⁾| T: J & A O'Neill| OR: 103| D

11/2

Rallied late to capitalise on a drop in grade at Wetherby last month and can still be competitive off his revised mark (won off 2 lb higher last season).

Form: 0-76831

Slim Marvel³³

Age: 8| Weight: 11-10| J: Toby McCain-Mitchell⁽⁵⁾| T: Miss R Curtis| OR: 101

8/1

On a long losing run but showed a bit on stable debut at Chepstow (18/1) and merits a market check under promising conditional.

Form: 43F57-5

Jack's Jury^t¹⁵⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: Lorcan Williams| T: J L Flint| OR: 93| BF

13/2

Maiden whose best effort for previous yard came when third over C&D in June but will need to improve on that to make a winning start for new connections.

Form: 233536

Fane Court¹⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 10-4| J: Shane Quinlan⁽³⁾| T: B Lund| OR: 81| D

66/1

Inexpensive winning pointer who has shown nothing at long odds in trio of hurdle starts and is now sent handicapping over a longer trip.

Form: B/1-687

Frankie Faulkner²⁸

Age: 9| Weight: 10-3| J: Isabel Williams| T: Evan Williams| OR: 80| D

16/1

In good nick over fences since returning from an absence but it's a long while since he's shown any worthwhile hurdle form.

Form: 6P/8-223

Colonial Empire³⁰

Weight: 11-12| Age: 9

Hot Rod Lincoln¹¹

Weight: 11-0| Age: 10

Forecasts

Sparkling Duke (5/4), La Higuera (10/3), Clondaw Royale (11/2), Colonial Empire (11/2), Jack's Jury (13/2), Slim Marvel (8/1), Frankie Faulkner (16/1), Hot Rod Lincoln (25/1), Fane Court (66/1)

Following creditable back-to-back seconds, COLONIAL EMPIRE can gain his just rewards. Sparkling Duke bids to make it 3-3 at this course, but isn't one for maximum faith, while the handicapper has made life tougher for progressive hat-trick seeker La Higuera.
