Found plenty of improvement for the switch to nurseries/step up to 1m, scoring 3 times, most recently in 4-runner affair at Newcastle (5/2) in November. Another 4 lb rise to contend with and, while this trip should suit, may prove vulnerable to less-exposed types with race fitness on their side.

Sixties Icon filly who left debut effort behind upped in trip when landing 9-runner maiden over this C&D (7/2) last month. Had the run of the race that day but is in good hands and should progress further.

Has finished runner-up on both handicap outings, most recently at Wolverhampton last month, pulling well clear of remainder but unable to lay a glove on one to whom he conceded first run. Going the right way and one to be interested in sporting first-time headgear.

Progressive sort who got off the mark in C&D maiden (7/1) 5 weeks ago, evidently benefiting from the step up in trip. Could do with cutting out the awkward starts if he's to make the impact he should now handicapping.

Showed promise when second on debut last August but hasn't improved on either subsequent start, unsuited by how the race was run when sixth of 7 in a Newmarket maiden the following month. Step up in trip for handicap debut looks a good move and a first-time tongue strap goes on having been gelded.

Verdict

Impossible to rule out any of the quintet, but preference is for TOASTMASTER, who pulled clear of the remainder when runner-up at Wolverhampton last month and first-time headgear may well elicit further improvement. Sole filly Helga relished the step up in trip when getting off the mark over C&D last month and she could be the biggest danger.
