All the better for return when third in the Tommy Whittle at Haydock and stepped up again when runner-up at Ludlow last week. Thorough stayer who's high on the shortlist back up in trip and in a change of headgear.

Runner-up at Worcester last summer but hasn't built on that in only 2 starts since, looking rusty after 3 months off when pulled up at Wincanton (25.1f, heavy) 27 days ago. Has now dropped below last winning mark and more severe headgear applied.

Point winner who enhanced his good strike rate under Rules when making a winning return at Ayr. Shuffled back at a crucial stage when 5 lengths third in Borders National at Kelso before failing to give his running at Windsor since. Yard in better form now.

On a losing run though ran better for a while when third in Edinburgh National at Musselburgh last time, albeit again beaten a healthy margin.

Suited by long distances and ended last season with victory over a marathon trip at Hexham. Better than ever when making a winning return here (3m) in October and ran respectably at Uttoxeter next time. Others perhaps better treated now but can give another good account back from a break.

Landed a fifth chase win when narrow winner at Ayr (heavy) a year ago. All the better for return when excellent second from out of the handicap in Borders National at Kelso 80 days ago but handicapper has reacted.

Gained reward for her consistency when recording first chase success here (3m) 12 months ago. All the fitter for comeback when third in this headgear at Hereford (25.2f, soft) just before Christmas and no surprise to see her involved upped in trip despite her advancing years.

Yet to match hurdles form in this sphere but at least arrives on the back of 2 decent placed efforts at Ffos Las/Chepstow and worth another try at this trip.

Sole win under Rules came on debut 4 years ago but plenty of placed efforts since, including on his first foray into veterans company at Catterick (25.2f, good to soft) last month. This tougher, though.

Low mileage 11-y-o who showed little last 2 starts 14 months apart and has since left Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole. Tongue strap on for 1st time.

Not the easiest to catch right but there was some encouragement over an inadequate trip at Ludlow in December. Failed to justify support when sixth in a big-field handicap at Windsor (won race last year) following month but he remains on an eye-catching mark.

PLANNED PARADISE isn't the easiest to catch right but he could be worth chancing from a potentially lenient mark. Jacks Parrot looked as good as ever when second at Ludlow last week and is the obvious threat off the same mark, while De Legislator is worth another chance to get back on track with his yard in better form now.
