Progressive hurdler last winter and duly left previous chase efforts well behind back up in trip in a similar, small-field handicap over C&D last month. This 5 lb higher mark should be comfortably within reach judged on that evidence and he should have more to offer in this sphere.

Veteran who ended a long losing run when scoring at Fakenham in October and improved on that form when taking 6-runner handicap (29f, soft) at same course in December, again making all. However, he's rather in-and-out overall and it's easier to make cases for his 3 rivals.

Has acquitted himself pretty well all 3 starts this season, including when third in the 4-runner C&D handicap won by Lumi Plugin last month. However, he was arguably flattered by his proximity to the cosy winner on that occasion and losing run stretches back over 2 years.

Back on the scoresheet at Fontwell last summer and shaped well when third over this C&D back from a break in December. No great surprise that he struggled in a competitive Windsor handicap last time and he's one to be interested in now back in calmer waters.

Forecasts

Lumi Plugin (13/8), Georges Saint (5/2), Enjoy D'allen (3/1), Morfee (9/2)

Verdict

With the promise of better to come from LUMI PLUGIN over fences, he should prove a tough nut to crack. The 7-y-o seemingly had plenty up his sleeve when making it third time lucky in this sphere over C&D last time. Morfee boasts a good record round here and he rates a bigger danger than Georges Saint.
